Even though the "native" system for the Hotel Maybe is TROIKA! (a system without levels or xp), for the purposes of bending to the fact that most FLAILSNAILS characters will be from D&D variants I have decided to come up with some exploration goals for awarding xp. Hats off to Zzarchov for the framework I'm using. For DCC the given rewards are divided by 10 due to the deflated xp thresholds for leveling.
These are one-time awards for each player, though each PC in a session which reaches, and explores and survives, the location for the first time receives the entire xp reward. The reward can never advance the PC more than one level, with any excess xp beyond reaching that next level being lost.

Local Curiosity - 50xp
Maintenance Access: The Hotel staff is ubiquitous, able to arrive and depart without notice most every time they need to. It is an open secret that this is accomplished by means of the Maintenance Access tunnels which are said to pass behind and between all the other rooms, granting access to not only the usual rooms which guests have access to but also rooms that only the Hotel staff normally can reach.
Uncommon - 150xp
Roadside Assistance: There is a road that leads to and from the Hotel, and along that road is an outpost for those travelers who are in need of various forms of assistance. However most people arrive via ship, teleport, gateway, dream navigation, or via some other, more obscure, method of travel and therefor never encounter Roadside Assistance.
Rarely visited - 500xp
Invitation-Only Bar: Of the many drinking locations in the Hotel, only this one maintains an air of mystery. All the other bars are open to visitors and guests at all times, forming one of the main social and economic backbones of the Hotel's existence. So it is perhaps no surprise that rumors and speculation and unsubstantiated claims about the secluded space abound. People are constantly trying to discover where the bar is, and how they might conceivably secure an invitation or find some way to sneak in. Many people claim to have done so, but most such claims quickly fall apart under scrutiny.
Unseen for years - 1500xp
the Palatial Wing: No one has checked into the Wing in years, and rumors run rampant as to why. Some say it has been overrun over by a trans-planar infestation of some sort. Others assert it has been taken over by revolutionary insurgents that the Hotel staff is waging a secret war with. Still others posit that it doesn't even exist anymore (explanations as to what happened to it vary wildly) and that is why no one has stayed there.
Unseen for generations - 5000xp
Glow-Worm Grotto: There is a remote and magical-seeming place in the Hotel where guests can relax in cool pools set amidst drooping and curving cave formations, with a glorious array of organic constellations vaguely illuminating the ceiling above. Or at least there used to be such a place--no one has seen it years, and the Hotel staff remains firmly non-committal about whether or not it even used to exist.
Of questionable veracity - 15000xp
The Vault: The Hotel will hold items in safe-keeping for you. Some items the Hotel requires that you turn over during your visit. It is said that all of these items are kept in The Vault, a rumored location deep in the bowels of the Hotel. It is further posited that there are treasures beyond imagining held there, many of which are said to be unclaimed for years, if not centuries. Understandably, there are always people trying to find their way there, for one reason or another.
Fabled - 50000xp
The Shape of Time Itself: Philosophers, wizards, and druggies (if there even is a difference) often refer to the Shape. They point to references of it sprinkled throughout the texts and legends of hundreds of spheres, conveniently ignoring that most every mention contradicts the others. Some say it is a pyramid, others a tesseract, still others claim it is, like the inhabited bits of the universe itself, a sphere. The one thing they (mostly) agree upon is that the Shape will, when found, revolutionize the understanding of sentient life in all spheres throughout the multiverse. Dissenting opinions hold the 'revolution' will be the destruction of everything. Coincidentally, and perhaps inaccurately, the Shape is often said to be hidden somewhere in the Hotel, or on the grounds around it.
